Trees and Services

Foster County Soil Conservation District staff can help plan tree plantings, with or without a financial assistance program.  We can offer recommendations on tree species suited to your soils, location, and purpose, and help determine number and spacing of rows and trees.  We can plant the trees and install practices like weed barrier and grass seeding to aid in their survival.

Planning a planting should begin at least one year ahead of time to allow time for applications and to get on the SCD's planting schedule.  Site preparation should begin the fall before planting.  SCD staff will also assist with program applications.  The Tree Order Form PDF can be mailed in for hand plant orders.
